REPORTS TO PARENTS
Attitude to Learning
When students demonstrate a positive attitude to learning, data clearly shows that they invariably make excellent academic progress. It is, therefore, important to us that we prioritise this in our reporting to you.
Our Attitude to Learning measures will expand on this and give students a grade (A-D) in these areas:
- Behaviour
- Effort
- Ready for Learning
- Homework
- Presentation
Grades for each of these categories will show how your child’s attitude is contributing to their education. The descriptors for each of these are here:

Attainment
The Data Point report you will receive breaks down a student’s current attainment, at subject level, into four attainment bands:
- Platinum
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
These attainment measures can move both up and down throughout the year dependent on the topics being studied and the scores achieved in assessments, classwork and homework.
Communication
These Data Point reports will be shared with you three times a year.
- Monday 28 November 2022
- Monday 20 March 2023
- Monday 26 June 2023
The format of the report is cumulative so you will be able to compare performance throughout the year. It will also include information on attendance and punctuality, with further information on behaviour and rewards to be added later in the year. The last Data Point report of each academic year will also include a written comment from both the Form Tutor and Head of Year.
