2025 GCSE Results

Congratulations to our GCSE Class of 2025 on securing an excellent set of exam results this year.
This group of students certainly put in the work this year and, as a result, have received their just rewards. For a year group that faced significant disruption to their early years at William Farr, they have shown great resilience, and they can be very proud of their achievements.
Notable achievements came from the following students, who achieved an average grade of at least an 8, placing them amongst the top-performing students in the country.
Congratulations to Ben Pike; Chloe Frecklington; Faye Wright; Grace Burrin; Adam Calvert; Joseph Cambery; Daniel Mastakov; Abigail Stratton; Beth Davison; Ethan Brown; George McKean and Rhys Staples.
Other noteworthy performances come from Mario Frangu; Ruby Graves; Anwen Jones; Ross Gibbons & James Sherriff, who all performed exceptionally well.
The following students achieved significantly above their targets: Ellarose Whitworth (an average of 3 grades above target); Robert Swistak; Ben Pike and Oliver Ellwood, all of whom secured grades an average of 1.2 above target.
This year saw an improvement in the overall pass rate 9 – 4 (or equivalent) from 71% in 2024 to 75%, with an increase in the number of Grade 9s (or equivalent) to 112, a move of 1.3%, which represents a significant rise in the most difficult grades to achieve. We also saw a substantial increase in the pass rate in our vocational GCSEs from 62% to 76%.
Having had a number of positive conversations with our students and those from other schools, we are looking forward to having more students in our Sixth Form from September. If you are still interested in joining the Sixth Form, please contact the school.
