Life in the Sixth Form

The Sixth Form is an integral part of William Farr School. Life as a Sixth Form student offers continuity from being a student in the main school with change through a new and challenging level of study, as well as lots of opportunities to develop as an individual and contribute to the wider school community.

What students say about our Sixth Form:

"My favourite part of sixth form is having a strong relationship with teachers and knowing that they will always make time for me if I need help, while also having the freedom to organise my own learning through study periods." Abbie

"The best thing about William Farr Sixth Form is that there is constant staff support. My subject teachers are always willing to help at a level beyond expected, and my form tutor always goes the extra mile, providing exceptional support for the UCAS application process. There is an excellent relationship between pupils and staff." Lucy

"The smaller class sizes allow us to gain more support in lessons and have a more personal learning experience. The change in lesson style allows for in depth learning as the opportunity to explore the subject in smaller groups allows more interactive activities making our chosen subjects even more enjoyable." Tierney

"In September I joined William Farr as an external student and the staff and students have been very welcoming to me. The quality of teaching has been amazing while the many available extra-curricular activities have provided me with lots of opportunities outside of lessons. I have not regretted changing school." Ben
