Year 11 GCSE results day is Thursday 12 August 2021. Students can collect their results from school between 9.00am and 10.00am as outlined below.

Results that are not collected between these times will be posted out. If students wish to have someone collect results on their behalf, then they need to contact Mrs Lister, our Examinations Officer, either in writing or via email at b.lister@williamfarr.lincs.sch.uk

Although the country will be moving into step 4 of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, the situation on results day remains uncertain and so we will still be taking additional precautions to ensure the health and safety of students and staff.

In order to reduce the number of people in rooms at the same time and enable social distancing, the following procedures will be put in place:

  • Only enter and exit the buildings via the signposted routes.
  • Hand sanitisers will be available in all rooms to be used on entry and exit, please.
  • Only students to enter the school buildings; parents, unfortunately, to remain outside.
  • Appropriate social distancing should be observed.
  • Face masks should be worn when in the school buildings or in crowded areas.

Students wishing to join the Sixth Form, who have met the entry requirements for the Sixth Form and all of their subjects, need to confirm their place in the Sixth Form and their subject choices with staff at the sign-in desks. Those who have met the overall requirement for the Sixth Form, but not for their original subject choices need to see Mr Ellis. Students who are away on holiday and wish to join the Sixth Form must still contact the school to confirm their place in the Sixth Form. This can be done by phoning the school on results day between 9am and 12pm on (01673) 866900 or by emailing Y12admissions@williamfarr.lincs.sch.uk.

Other staff will also be available to give advice and guidance throughout the morning after the 10.00am finish to the collection of results.

All information relating to the teacher assessed grading process and the related appeals process is available under the Teaching and Learning section of the school website on the page ‘Teacher Assessed Grades 2021’. All queries relating to this process should be sent to the account Results2021@williamfarr.lincs.sch.uk. Any documentation for appeals should be sent from a student’s William Farr School email address.

Ofqual has confirmed that there will be an examination series running in the Autumn term for students wishing to sit their GCSE exams. Students wishing to sit examinations in this series will need to contact the school by Friday 17 September 2021 to confirm any entry costs and make their examination entries.
