Almost 80 per cent of A-level grades achieved by students at William Farr School were A* to C - the highest in the school’s history.
Today’s record-breaking results are up seven per cent on last year’s and have been described as “exceptional” by Headteacher Andy Stones.
Of those who sat A-level exams at William Farr, more than 50 per cent of students got an A* or a B in their exams - up 10 per cent in the last two years.
Headteacher Andy Stones said he was delighted with this year’s results.
“These are an exceptional set of results from an exceptional set of students,” he said.
“Over half of those who sat A-levels at William Farr got an A-star or a in their results which is just fantastic.”
