Students Pass Level 2 BTEC Firebreak Course

Thursday 19th November was the passing out parade for the four Year 9 and four year 10 students who have undertaken the BTEC Firebreak course down at the South Park Fire station over the past six weeks. All passed with flying colours and have achieved a Level 2 BTEC qualification as a result. In front of family members, Heads of Year Mrs Hanson and Mrs Dungate and Mr Muir they performed drill and a demonstration using the full fire equipment; they rescued Mrs Peden from a second story window and put out a fire in the mock-up of a high rise building. We are very proud of their achievements and hope to send more students on this fantastic course in the near future.
