Initial Teacher Training with Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance
William Farr School is working closely with other secondary schools in Lincolnshire as part of the Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance (LTSA). With the educational landscape changing at pace, membership of the LTSA provides the opportunity for our school to share best practice and build capacity through a ‘learning together’ culture so that our students continue to receive the highest quality of education and life changing opportunities.
We are delighted that the LTSA has recently become accredited by the National College for Teaching and Leadership as a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider. This means that the alliance is able to devise and deliver its own training programme and award Qualified Teacher Status on its successful completion. LTSA will also work closely with the University of Lincoln to support trainees to gain an additional PGCE qualification.
William Farr School is proud to be part of this Initial Teacher Training programme which presents an exciting opportunity for the school and for education in Lincolnshire as a whole.
If you are interested in finding out more about how to train to become a teacher and the subjects available across the alliance, please access the information contained on the LTSA website: www.lincolnshiretsa.co.uk
All applications for Initial Teacher Training are submitted via UCAS. Information about places offered and application procedures can be accessed from the UCAS website.
