Important changes to the William Farr School Uniform Shop:

    Years 7-11

    During 2019/20 we undertook a full review of our school uniform provision to ensure our on-site school uniform shop delivered best value to parents, whilst retaining the high-quality uniform we are renowned for. As a result of that review we made supply chain changes which reduced our costs and allowed us to pass the savings directly to parents last year in a reduced retail price structure. The review also noted that the limited opening times of the school uniform shop, both in term time and holidays, can cause challenges for many parents. This issue has been highlighted, especially over the last year, while we have endeavoured to find safe and convenient ways for you to buy school uniform. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this period while we have managed uniform sales in the best way we could. 

    Taking all of these factors into account: price, quality and convenience, we have made the decision to close our on-site school uniform shop and move our uniform sales to Uniform Direct. By making this move, we are able to further reduce uniform prices and we will work closely with Uniform Direct to ensure the ongoing quality and availability of the uniform you buy.

    In addition, you will benefit from a better and more convenient shopping experience with two city centre stores and online shopping available. Important dates and information William Farr School Uniform Shop will close on Friday 21 May 2021, after which no purchases will be permitted.

    Requests for returns and exchanges of items bought from the school uniform shop prior to its closure should be made in the first instance by email to catherine.roberts@williamfarr.lincs.sch.uk

    Uniform will NOT be available to purchase for a two-week period (Monday 24 May – Friday 4 June) to allow for a handover to take place from the school uniform shop to Uniform Direct. 

    From Monday 7 June 2021, the full range of uniform will be available to purchase in the Uniform Direct Lincoln High Street store and Dixon Way store. In addition, online shopping will also be available with delivery direct to your chosen address. Ordering online is very simple. Just visit www.uniform-direct.com, then navigate to ‘Select Your School’ and ‘Senior Schools’ and scroll down to William Farr School to find all items of approved William Farr school uniform. There is a contact form on the website which, once completed, will go to the Uniform Direct help desk to be dealt with by the dedicated team.     Please note the following: • Orders are dispatched 3 to 5 working days from order, direct to parents • Postage flat fee of £3.96 for any number of items • Customer returns are free by postage paid label – please contact customerservices@uniformdirect.com and quote your order number • Customers without internet access may telephone their order on 01522 568865 (Office hours only Monday to Friday) If ordering online please allow plenty of time, especially during the busy back-to-school period when delivery may take a little longer or when you may be going on holiday. Please allow enough time so that you can make an exchange or order additional items if necessary.

    School Uniform Vouchers

    The deadline for using current school uniform vouchers will be extended and any remaining balances will be valid to use up to and including Wednesday 21 July 2021. Vouchers we have issued will be valid only for William Farr school uniform purchases made at Uniform Direct and we will write to voucher holders shortly to confirm full details.
