The William Farr (Church of England) Comprehensive School provides an outstanding education across all the major aspects of the national curriculum. The students consistently attain high standards of grades, and their behaviour in lessons and around the school is exemplary – not only do they respect one another, but they have respectful and excellent relationships with all the staff.
The acquisition of personal and social skills and a positive attitude are considered to be of equal importance to academic work. All our students are expected to adopt a code of behaviour, which shows self-discipline and demonstrates a concern, tolerance and understanding for others, inside and outside the school.
All our students are given every opportunity to grow and develop in a safe and healthy environment. It gives us at the school great pleasure to know that the students not only get a great education, but that they grow into self-sufficient individuals who have a clear purpose and a desire to do well in life.
The school is very proud of its national reputation for the highest standards of achievement and commitment to excellence in every aspect of education. Moreover, the school is looking forward to an exciting future of growth and development for the benefit of all the students and the wider community.
It is our aim that all our students will be part of a stimulating community, in which they can find security, tolerance and inspiration, and we look forward to your children achieving and succeeding while in our care.
P. Strong,
